Q1. What is the postal cost per Kg to my country?
It is very difficult to give a basic postal cost. It depends on weight, overall size and declared value. Larger parcel postal costs are based on size rather than weight. As the overall size increases, the cost increases beyond the cost per Kg. A parcel of 50x40x30 cm is charged at 10Kg even if it weighs less If the package is valued at more than $1500 then it must be sent "express-post" where the insurance cost is 0.3% of the value. "Express-post" cost starts at about $70 NZD (to Europe) per 1 Kg, reducing slightly per Kg as the weight increases. "Air-post" cost starts at about $30 NZD (to Europe) per 1 Kg, reducing slightly per Kg as the weight increases. Insurance cost on "air-post" is $10 NZD up to a value of $1500 NZD Q2. Why are the prices in New Zealand Dollars? Unfortunately, in New Zealand we cannot sell in a currency other than NZ Dollars. I have attempted to compensate by also showing an approximate US Dollar value. Q3. What's that in my local currency? Because the exchange rates fluctuate, the best way to find out is to use the currency converter. click here. The exact amount to appear on your credit card statement depends on the exchange rate on the day the transaction is processed. This will be VERY close to the amount that the currency converter said it would be. Q4. What is the best freight method? Air-Post International is reliable, fast and cost effective. If the package is large or valued at more than about $500 NZD, then it can be best to use express-post because of the better parcel tracking and higher insurance limits Any package exceeding $1500 NZD in value must be sent by express-post to be covered in the unlikely event of loss or damage. Q5. How much will the freight cost? A typical package weighing 0.3 to 0.5 Kg. By Air-Post International:
Australia = $8 NZD Q6. How log will it take to arrive? Most packages are shipped within 24 hours. The exceptions are orders received during the weekend, or where we are waiting for credit additional details, or are out of stock. By Air-Post International typically:
Australia = 3 to 5 days
